Lots of people came to our Christmas Fayre which meant a lot of cake, mince pies and mulled whisky was consumed so just as well there was a band playing to top it all off!
(note: there were people there but when you produce a large camera people suddenly decide to stand behind the photographer! chickens ;-p)
Music by Uffington 357 – a band from West Norwood (London SE27) playing a beautiful blend of soul, funk and Jazz. with Sue Harvey, Myles Runham and… (I’ll update when I find out! sorry)
RPS, The Stitch & West Norwood Bzz Garage – all projects started by the Open Works project were recently mentioned in the Guardian and you can see Agnes (The Right Stuff Vintage), Tara from the Stitch and Wayne from Bzz Garage photographed and interviewed about these projects.

AND it will be late night opening for RPS on the same day – Rum punch anyone? waves hand in the air
Facebook Event Page – come say hi and to let us know you are coming for the Rum Punch … ok… maybe not so RPS and L’Arche can drink it over cooling candles instead 😉
L’Arche Christmas Decorations – pin cone ready to be made in to Christmas Wreaths – will be available for sale at the Xmas Fayre.
With a vast array of exciting traditional hand made prints, paintings, cards, textiles and jewellery, our local artists and makers’ stalls will be sure to have something for everyone, so come along and shop until you drop with the added knowledge that you are supporting West Norwood’s creative community.

This selection of limited edition prints is part of an on-going series of images influenced by obscure ‘street art’ from our travels, which have been digitally re-worked to capture the vibrance, texture and energy of those places.

Paintings – Mosaics – Workshops
Janet takes her inspiration from the natural world. Her abstract paintings are a reflection of this. Each one unique, they pulse to a rhythmic, intuitive and felt sense. She aims to cultivate this energy and spirit in her workshops and groups, where process and fun are more important than the finished object.
Original brightly coloured, hand painted images in gouache on paper in wooden frame. Mosaic tiles decorated with buttons, beads and various colourful, interesting bits and pieces.
Other works include A4 framed prints of charcoal, ink, pastel drawings and photos. As well as producing her own work Janet is an artist/therapist supporting individuals and groups to find their creativity using a variety of media and techniques.
You can find printed maps in local libraries, coffee shops and other local venues. (click image to visit the main Facebook page)
